PHOENIX Emergency Care is a unique Walk-in Urgent Care Center that is a hybrid between a Hospital Emergency Department and a Doctor''s Office. Our mission is to provide the residents of Huntsville and visitors to North Alabama, with excellent patient-centered emergent, urgent, preventive, and primary medical care. With Electronic Medical Records and wireless internet access, we have the patient''s chart and the world''s medical literature at the patient''s bedside.
If you have a Doctor and have a medical emergency or urgency that exceeds the capabilities of his/her office, or happens after hours, on the weekend or a holiday, or just when the office is full, come to Phoenix. If you think "Go to the ER," say "Go to Phoenix." If you do not have a Family Doctor, then PHOENIX will be your medical home for family medicine.
Our professional staff is all Boarded, Certified, Registered, and Licensed, and our three Clinicians have over 50 years of medical experience. We have onsite lab and x-ray. At PHOENIX we believe that Quality pays for itself and Excellence pays extra.
We are prepared to care for you after most car wrecks and after your work injuries, or those of your employees. We can x-ray and splint; we can drug test.
At PHOENIX we are developing a center to deliver medical care in the 21st century. We have added two nurse practitioners to slash our waiting times. There is always a nurse practitioner available, and the physician is always available to consult on difficult, involved or time-consuming cases. So for example, if you come in with a laceration, you still get the best suturing job in Huntsville, but if someone else comes in with a laceration, you no longer have to wait for the physician to finish suturing, as the nurse practitioner will see you and keep things moving. So if you have been discouraged by long waits in the past, it is time to give us another chance.
Taking care of your medical urgencies and minor medical and traumatic emergencies, and providing comprehensive preventive medicine in a family medicine primary care setting is not all we do. PHOENIX has also developed a couple of specialty clinics. We are very proud of our state-of-the-art NonInvasive Chronic Pain Management Clinic and our Suboxone Clinic. We have set aside certain times during the week for these and are proud of our patients'' fights against the scourges of untreated debilitating chronic pain in the former, and drug addiction in the latter.
For patient convenience, we honor appointments, and we also welcome Walk-Ins, Same-Day and Next-Day Appointments. We honor most insurances, including Medicare. And we provide free Wi-fi throughout the clinic.
